SVOLK - SVOLK 'EM ALL |
There is something very wicked and wild about this band that makes you want to get...wicked and wild. Any band named Svolk that names a release 'Svolk 'Em All' is definitely alright with us. The music is classified as Stoner Rock but you don't have to be ripped to enjoy the likes of ' Miss Alcohol', 'Dead30' and the epic ten minute 'Inferno'. Although it wouldn't hurt. |

SCORPIONS - COMEBLACK |
We're not happy with the title on this one but it's about the music right ? Fair enough. This is a collection of half re-recorded classic hits and cover songs such as 'Tainted Love' and 'Ruby Tuesday' amongst others. The re-recordings definitely sound much more dynamic and the covers are done in typical Scorps fashion. This isn't going to make every Scorpions fan go out and get it just for the covers if they're into the more metallic side of the band but it's good enough to draw in the hardcore fans of the stinger. |

VOZ - SHADOWS OF DEATH |
Those familiar with the work of Veins Iced Over need no explanation as to why this is a must have for any true metal fan's collection. Those unfamiliar should probably just skip this entire write up and just click on the player below to become familiar. Then read this note afterwards : You see ?! This simply kicks ass ! |

LONELY KAMEL - DUST DEVIL |
Kicking this release off is 'Grim Reefer'. If that doesn't tell you you're in for some outstanding stoner rock then the music will. The Reefer track is essentially a 'Sweet Leaf' for this generation and is infused with a raw and catchy sound with tongue in cheek lyricism and crunchy hooks. To get the full effect of the Kamelites simply fire one up and crank it up. Oh yeeaaahhhh..... |

IRON FIRE - VOYAGE OF THE DAMNED |
This is incredibly awesome. After listening to it twenty times it just kept getting better so we took a break before we combusted from the intense searing metal. The band is musically exceptional with tracks like 'Voyage of the Damned' and ' Enter Oblivion : OJ-66' showcasing their power and precision. And the vocalist. Whoa. He's like a perfect mix of Bruce Dickinson and Geoff Tate. Kind of like a Bruce Tate or Geoff Dickinson. This kicks ass. |
